RhinoShield Braided Lightning to USB-C Cable – 2m Review

Today, in what will be a very short review, we will show you the RhinoShield Braided Lightning to USB-C Cable. Similar to the braided Lightning to USB Type A cable we reviewed, this cable is RhinoShield’s upgraded cable which comes in both 1m and 2m lengths.

Unboxing

The front of the box has the RhinoShield branding and a picture of the cable.

The back of the box lists the devices the cable is compatible with, which are numerous.

The cables comes wound and secured with an integrated cable tie. I personally use the cable fully unwound which is great for charging by the bed. I don’t have to use an extension cable or hold my phone in an uncomfortable position to avoid unplugging the wire from the wall outlet.

Here you can see the two ends. The top end has the USB type-C connector, whereas the bottom end has the Lightning connector. The braid on the cable is well made and will not prematurely wear down or split like cheaper alternatives will. In fact, it’s so resilient I bet it could be used to tow a car!

Conclusion

The RhinoShield Braided Lightning to USB-C Cable is a well-made product that is worth the money. Our 2m variant which is about 6.5 feet has plenty of slack, making it very useful for charging our iPhone 12 Pro while in bed. The braided Lightning cable that we reviewed in December of 2018 is still going strong and looks new and I strongly believe that this USB type-C variant will do the same!
